Are you passionate about working with young people? if you strive to make a difference, we have an exciting opportunity for people to apply for part-time roles as a Leader in Charge at our Youth Hubs across East Sussex.

• 1x Leader in Charge - LGBTQ, Hollington Youth Hub, 3.5 hours per week

As youth workers, we nurture and support the young people we work with so they can learn to make informed choices; we teach empowerment and equality, helping the young people have a voice, build positive relationships, and reach their full potential.

As a Leader in Charge, you will create session plans, oversee the operation and running of the session, record session evaluations, line manage a small team of part-time youth workers, engage young people in the community, offer support, advice, and guidance, as well as handling any safeguarding concerns as a team.

Join us in supporting young people as they navigate the challenges and changes of society and themselves while transitioning from childhood to adulthood.

Successful applicants will receive a full induction and training to support all aspects of their roles with ongoing support from their manager and colleagues.

We deliver sessions for young people aged 8 to 17). LGBTQ - Our LGBTQ+ groups are safe spaces for young people to explore their identity and receive support and advice.

Sessions usually run in the afternoon and evening unless specified otherwise.

• Interpersonal skills with the ability to be sensitive to the needs of young people and can relate to them at a meaningful level
• Ability to design and deliver activities with and for young people
• Ability to plan and deliver specific projects to engage young people
