We have an exciting opportunity for people to apply for part‑time roles as a Youth Worker at our Youth Hubs across East Sussex.

• 1x Youth Worker, Friday Juniors, 3 hours per week
• 1x Youth Worker, Friday night project , 3 hours per week

As youth workers, we nurture and support the young people we work with so they can learn to make informed choices; we teach empowerment and equality, helping the young people have a voice, build positive relationships, and reach their full potential.

As a Youth Worker, you will support the Leader in Charge in the operation and running of the session, engaging young people in the community, offering support, advice, and guidance, as well as handling any safeguarding concerns as a team.

Join us in supporting young people as they navigate the challenges and changes of society and themselves while transitioning from childhood to adulthood.

Successful applicants will receive a full induction and training to support all aspects of their roles with ongoing support from their manager and colleagues.

Starting as a youth worker can pave the way for opportunities within keywork and social work, should the successful applicant seek full‑time employment.

We deliver sessions for young people aged 8 to 17.

Sessions usually run in the afternoon and evening unless specified otherwise.

• Junior Club
  - Our Juniors sessions are open‑mixed groups where young people can socialise and develop their life skills through fun activities.
• Friday night project
  - Our Friday Night sessions are open‑mixed groups where young people can socialise and develop their life skills through fun activities.

• Interpersonal skills with the ability to be sensitive to the needs of young people and can engage with them in a meaningful way
• Ability to plan, design and deliver engaging activities and projects that meet the needs and interests of young people
• Understanding of current issues affecting young people and the ability to reflect this in youth work practice
