£34,000 - £35,0000PA (pro-rata where part-time)
Hours:Full time (37 hours per week) (part time min 24 hours would be considered)
Bradford and Airedale Citizens Advice & Law Centre is a leading provider of legal advice and information, supporting thousands of clients every year. We are a busy, client focused and dynamic service with a track record of delivering high quality advice. Our Welfare Benefits team provide a professional welfare benefits advice service, which enables clients to understand their entitlement to welfare benefits and eligibility criteria.
Our ideal candidate will understand the impact of welfare benefit issues and previous experience in supporting clients and supervising staff. You will be required to work across all our advice channels, and you will be expected to provide technical support to our welfare benefit advisers and other colleagues on welfare benefit issues. The Welfare Benefit Supervisor will undertake the following responsibilities as well as providing direct advice:
- Ensure high quality advice by actively listening to/ shadowing advice sessions and conducting quality case reviews
- Develop team expertise in line with individual training plans and supervisions
- Work with the team managers and senior(s) in the training and development of new staff
- Line management responsibilities within the welfare benefits team including conducting supervisions, annual appraisals and other responsibilities within this role
- Manage your own welfare benefit caseload
- Co-ordinate service delivery rotas including outreach sessions
- Support the team to work towards the project funder targets and KPIs
To be successful in this role you will be able to work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, exhibit excellent listening and questioning skills and to present and conduct yourself in a professional and courteous manner
