Support Worker for Families in Crisis

Become a Family Support Worker in Sechelt, BC with Sunshine Coast Community Services. In this full-time, permanent role, you’ll provide critical support for families during challenging times.

As a Family Preservation and Support Worker, you will offer home-based interventions aimed at preventing child out-of-home placements.

Your role will involve crisis intervention, community collaboration, and the formulation of actionable support plans. You will also participate in team and clinical meetings, ensuring that all service delivery remains aligned with program standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create counseling treatment plans based on client assessments

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in social work or related field

• 3+ years of experience in family support services

• Strong understanding of trauma-informed practices

• Excellent conflict resolution and teamwork skills

• Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license
