The Salvation Army provides support and emergency accommodation for homeless adults within the Glasgow Area. We are looking to recruit highly motivated Day Concierge to join our team in Wallace of Campsie House Lifehouse comprising of 42 flats and 10 bedsits

Key Responsibilities:
  • Welcome clients and visitors and help them with any questions.
  • Sign people in and out of the building when needed.
  • Answer telephone calls, take messages, and deal with post.
  • Keep records up to date, including log books and handover notes.
  • Monitor CCTV and help make sure the building is safe.
  • Keep health and safety records up to date.
  • Enter and update client information on the Atlas computer system.
  • Help collect and record information for reports and statistics.
  • Receive and record rent payments correctly.
  • Treat everyone fairly and with respect, regardless of their background, culture, or faith.
  • Build positive relationships with clients and help calm difficult situations.
  • Report maintenance problems and arrange emergency repairs when needed.
  • Attend training and take part in supervision and development reviews.
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties to support the smooth running of the service.
The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate:
  • Motivation towards supporting vulnerable clients to achieve focussed and positive outcomes.
  • Good customer service and time management skills with ability to prioritise workload.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work within the ethos of The Salvation Army

Appointment will be subject to satisfactory references, a criminal record PVG check and evidence of your Right to Work in the UK in line with Home Office requirements.
