Location:

Job Type: Full-time or Part-time
Salary: £45,000-£48,000
(Up to £4,000 salary increase in the first year based on performance)
- Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm
- No evenings, weekends, bank holidays, or on-call shifts

About the Role
Are you looking for a new direction in your clinical career?
As a Assessment Practitioner (Functional Assessor), you ll use your clinical knowledge to carry out Personal Independence Payment (PIP) or Work Capability Assessment (WCA) assessments on behalf of the DWP.
Following 6–12 weeks of fully home-based training
, you ll move into a hybrid working pattern, splitting your time 50/50 between home and the office
.
What You’ll Do:
- Review all media and supporting evidence of the claimant
- Conduct structured assessments based on this evidence either face-to-face, telephone or video
- Explore their typical day and real-world impact
- Assess reliability
- Explore variability (good/bad days, flare-ups, fatigue patterns)
- Record findings clearly and neutrally
- Produce high-quality, justified reports for the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP)
- Follow DWP safeguarding and professional standard
Qualifications (Required)
- Minimum 1-year post registration experience in a adult setting
- NMC/HCPC registered
- Full right to work in UK (sponsorship is NOT available)
- Strong clinical knowledge of long-term conditions and functional assessment
- Strong communication and writing skills
- Confident with IT and typing
