Your role
- Assess customer needs, update support plans, and signpost to education, training, and employment
- Support customers with daily living tasks such as cooking and cleaning
- Offer advice to help customers meet tenancy conditions
- Assist with managing finances and welfare benefits
- Promote social inclusion and help build confidence and resilience
- Ensure safeguarding responsibilities are met
(This role is sometimes also referred to as Support Worker, Support Assistant, or Independent Living Assistant).
- Experience working with vulnerable people
- Positive approach to supporting young people with varied needs
- Strong interpersonal and customer care skills
- Effective communication and ability to work on your own initiative
- Knowledge of support planning, key working, risk assessment, and safeguarding
- Proficient technology/IT skills (Microsoft Office and similar)
- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, or willingness to work towards it
