About the role:
This is a hybrid role, working from home with travel to the Victim Support office in Islington. As the Criminal Justice Domestic Abuse Service Manager, you will: effectively manage and develop a high quality, innovative and pro-active domestic abuse team. Work in partnership with other professionals to ensure that risk management and safeguarding duties are effectively met. Develop and maintain effective partnership working with statutory, private and voluntary agencies to address the issue of domestic abuse.
Represent the service at operational multi-agency meetings, feeding back initiatives and outcomes to the team and contribute to the evaluation of the quality of activities these services offer. Provide a single point of proactive and regular contact for a range of professionals involved in the case of the service user. Comply with child protection and information sharing policies, ensuring that service users and colleagues understand and comply with the service's safeguarding framework.
Contribute to regular service reviews which include monitoring data, evaluations, intake and output policy, and practice and work load reviews for the whole service. You will need: A passion for working with victim/survivors and a thorough understanding of gender based violence and abuse. A thorough understanding of the dynamics of domestic abuse and harmful practices and its impact on men, women, children, families, and communities.
Experience of managing a team delivering front line support to victims or domestic abuse or vulnerable people to a high standard. A track record of demonstrating and delivering a non-judgemental, anti-racist and anti-discriminatory approach to empowering victim/survivors of domestic abuse. Please see attached
