Child Protection Officer - Remote

About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated and proactive Child Protection Officer to join their fully remote team. In this vital role, you will work to safeguard the rights and well-being of children by investigating concerns, providing support to families, and collaborating with relevant agencies. • Respond to and investigate reports of child abuse, neglect, or endangerment.
• Assess the safety and well-being of children and provide immediate protective interventions when necessary.
• Develop and implement child protection plans in collaboration with families and other professionals.
• Provide counseling and support to children and families.
• Liaise with law enforcement, schools, and other community agencies to coordinate services.
• Maintain accurate, detailed, and confidential case records and prepare reports.

• Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Law, or a related field.
• Registered with the relevant professional body (e.g., SACSSP).
• Demonstrated experience in child protection, social work, or a related field.
• In-depth knowledge of child welfare laws, policies, and best practices.
• Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in virtual collaboration tools.
