Roles are either ‘site based’ or ‘home based’.

Site based roles are mainly based at the workplace, with the option to work from home for up to two days a week, depending on service needs.

Home based roles are mainly based at home, with the expectation of attending the workplace up to one day a week.

The working arrangement for each role is set by the manager, based on service requirements.

We’re recruiting a Social Worker (Level
3) to join our South Family Support Hub within Children’s Services.

The South Family Support Hub works with children, young people and their families to provide early help and targeted support where there are concerns about a child's welfare, development or wellbeing.

The team undertakes assessments, coordinates multi-agency support, and works alongside families to reduce risks and strengthen protective factors. The team helps children remain safe, supported and achieve positive outcomes within their families and communities. By identifying needs early and coordinating effective support, the service helps prevent issues from escalating, reduces the need for statutory intervention, and promotes better outcomes for residents across Milton Keynes.

The work is important because it safeguards vulnerable children, supports families through difficult circumstances, and helps improve long-term outcomes for children and young people. It ensures that children receive the right support at the right time, enabling them to thrive and reducing future demand on specialist and statutory services.

As a Level 3 Social Worker, you’ll manage a varied caseload of complex children and family cases, working directly with children, young people, families and partner agencies to assess needs, reduce risk and support positive change. You’ll play a key role in helping us make our city a better place to live while delivering services that support some of Milton Keynes’ most vulnerable residents.

Site-Based role

This is a Site-Based role, and you’ll be expected to work from the designated workplace.
