Role

Description:

The Program Associate is a full-time role. This role involves supporting the design, planning, and implementation of immersive programs for children, including coordinating schedules, logistics, and communication with partners and participants.

The Program Associate will assist in monitoring program progress, collecting feedback, and preparing reports and documentation to improve program quality and outcomes. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting research to inform program content, engaging with stakeholders, facilitating sessions or activities when required, and ensuring smooth operations across all program phases. The role also requires close collaboration with internal teams and external partners to maintain alignment with Pravaha’s mission and standards.

What you will do:

Program delivery:  Help plan and execute online and residential programs, including program planning, student selection, student welfare, onboarding, logistics, and coordination with faculty, volunteers, and interns.
People and communication:  Handle enquiries and ongoing communication with parents, students, faculty, and partners. Resolve issues, manage expectations, and make considered decisions.
Digital operations and documentation:  Maintain learning spaces, forms, participant and alumni records, reports, feedback, and program media. Create program collateral and follow child safeguarding, confidentiality, and consent procedures.
Social media and outreach:  Own content planning, writing, design, publishing, and audience engagement across Pravaha’s social media. Manage email and Whats App outreach, try ideas, and assess what works.

Qualifications:

You notice what needs doing and act. You can make decisions, explain your thinking, and recognise when to involve the team. You handle difficult conversations with warmth and firmness, bring patience and empathy to working with children, and remain open to questioning and feedback.

Skills and experience:

1–2 years of relevant experience  in program operations, communications, or non-profit administration.

Experience with children or education is desirable. No specific degree required. Freshers with relevant experience during their UG or PG studies can also apply.
Strong written and spoken  English . Working  Hindi  is desirable.
Proficiency in  Canva , with good visual judgement for social media and outreach.
Confident use of  Google Workspace, particularly Sheets and Docs , including organising data, using basic formulas, and preparing clear documents.
Basic LLM literacy:  Use LLMs to brainstorm, draft, and refine work, while checking outputs for accuracy and suitability.
Candidates should possess excellent Interpersonal Skills and Communication abilities to collaborate with youth, partners, and internal teams.
Candidates should possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and timelines.

Working commitments:

This is primarily a remote job. Travel includes  one continuous month in Hyderabad  for two back-to-back residential programs, plus  3–4 additional trips of 4–5 days each annually . Flexible hours are required during program peaks. Official travel and accommodation are covered. No leave will be available during the program periods where physical presence is required - This is non-negotiable.
