The Youth Care Worker supports vulnerable and at-risk youth living in a care home environment through individual and group programming, life skills training, and crisis intervention. Using a harm reduction model, the Youth Care Worker promotes independence, safety, and personal growth.

Reporting directly to the Team Lead with overarching accountability to the Executive Director, this role delivers culturally safe, trauma-informed, and youth-centered services that align with Eagle Heart Centre's mission, vision, and universal competencies.

• Knowledge of child development, mental health, addictions, domestic violence, and systemic challenges facing youth.
• Strong problem-solving, de-escalation, and crisis intervention skills.
• Effective communication, facilitation, and mentorship skills.
• Time management, organizational skills, and accountability for caseload and deadlines.
• Capacity to work independently and collaboratively in a residential team environment.
• Reliability, punctuality, and adaptability in meeting program needs.
• Physical capacity to perform job requirements (sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs, driving, carrying/lifting to 50 lbs).

• Current CPR and First Aid certification.
• Provide a Criminal Record Check, including Vulnerable Sector clearance.
