35 Hours Per Week (Monday to Friday - Core Hours 10am to 4pm. Occasional evening and weekends. Attendance inline with MARAC Hearings.)

The Community Safety Team (CST) plays a vital role in helping residents feel safe, supported and secure within their homes and communities. As a Domestic Abuse Caseworker, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference to the lives of some of Manchester's most vulnerable residents by providing specialist support to those experiencing domestic abuse. Working at the heart of a multi‑agency partnership network, you will help individuals and families navigate difficult situations, reduce risk and access the support they need to rebuild their lives.

This is a rewarding role that combines safeguarding, housing management and partnership working to improve outcomes for residents across the city. You will play a key part in ensuring victims are listened to, protected and supported, while helping Manchester City Council deliver on its commitment to creating safer neighbourhoods and stronger communities. The successful candidate will:

• Join a team of dedicated colleagues committed to protecting residents, reducing harm and delivering positive outcomes for people affected by domestic abuse.
• Lead on the management of domestic abuse cases received by Housing Services, ensuring victims receive timely and effective support.
• Undertake risk assessments and develop robust safety plans that place the victim's needs and wishes at the centre of decision‑making.
• Coordinate support and interventions with a wide range of statutory, voluntary and community sector partners.
• Ensure safeguarding concerns are identified, appropriately managed and escalated where necessary.
• Apply a trauma‑informed and victim‑centred approach throughout all aspects of case management.
• Work collaboratively with housing colleagues, social care services, health professionals, Greater Manchester Police and specialist domestic abuse organisations to deliver coordinated support.
• Support residents to improve their safety, wellbeing and long‑term stability through effective intervention and partnership working.
