This role offers a distinct shift from the relentless pace of statutory frontline teams, providing a collaborative, warm, and significantly calmer working culture. We are seeking a Senior Practitioner or Experienced Social Worker who brings at least 5 years experience within a Children & Families background, prioritising deep clinical judgement, safeguarding rigour, and hands-on family support expertise above extensive formal management tenure.

London (Hybrid: 3 days office-based, 2 days working from home) Salary: £50,275 - £58,400 per annum (dependent on experience) Contracted

40 hours per week Reporting To:
Director of Clinical Services Responsibilities Providing direct line management, operational direction, and clinical support to bereavement support workers, volunteers, and placement students. Managing frontline referrals, telephone helpline triage, and conducting robust initial safeguarding assessments. Carrying a small dedicated caseload of highly complex family cases, serving as the lead clinical contact for complex risk management. Re-establishing operational consistency, team stabilisation, and staff confidence within an agile service structure.
Balancing statutory safeguarding frameworks with a compassionate, early-intervention charity model without adding unnecessary bureaucracy. Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary art therapists and clinical executive leadership to maintain high standards of care and compliance. Qualifications Qualified Social Worker status. Social Work England registration required. At least 5 years of robust experience within a Children & Families background. Proven ability to exercise deep clinical judgement and maintain safeguarding rigour.
