Social Worker - Family Support

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Social Worker specializing in Family Support to join their team serving the Rustenburg community. This role involves providing comprehensive support services to families facing various challenges, including domestic issues, financial difficulties, and child welfare concerns. You will work both remotely and in the field, conducting assessments, offering counselling, and connecting families with essential resources to foster stability and well-being.

This hybrid position offers the flexibility to manage your caseload effectively, combining the convenience of remote work with the necessary in-person interactions to build trust and provide hands‑on assistance within the community.

• Conduct remote and in-person assessments of family needs and risks.
• Provide counselling and support to families dealing with diverse challenges.
• Develop and implement case management plans to achieve positive outcomes.
• Facilitate access to community resources, including social services, healthcare, and educational programs.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions and progress.
• Collaborate with other professionals, such as educators, healthcare providers, and legal advisors.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work or a related field.
• Registered with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP).
• Experience in family support, child protection, or community social work.
• Proficiency in remote communication tools and case management software.
• Valid driver's license and reliable access to a vehicle for community visits.
• Strong understanding of relevant legislation and social welfare policies.
