About the role
Cambridgeshire County Council is looking for passionate and experienced Social Workers to join its Assessment Teams based in Huntingdon and South Cambridgeshire.

As a Social Worker within the Assessment Team, you will be responsible for undertaking high-quality statutory assessments and delivering effective interventions to safeguard children and support families.
You will work within a dynamic environment where no two days are the same, leading on complex assessments and making a positive difference to the lives of children and young people.

Salary: £41,958 - £44,822 per annum

Key Responsibilities
Undertake statutory assessments and formulate effective plans for children and families.
Lead strategy discussions and multi-agency meetings.
Complete Section 47 enquiries and safeguarding investigations.
Prepare high-quality court reports under Sections 7, 37 and 31.
Complete SWET assessments and care plans where required.
Work closely with partner agencies to achieve positive and sustainable outcomes.
Maintain accurate and timely case recording in line with statutory requirements.
Manage a caseload of approximately 25 children and families.
