16+ Glasgow

Glasgow 16+ has over 30 years of experience supporting care-experienced young people across Glasgow through a range of housing support services.

Our services include two residential accommodations where young people can develop independent living skills within a supportive group environment. In addition, we provide outreach support to young people living in 18 flats across Glasgow.

We work with care leavers aged 16 to 26 who require support as they transition into adulthood. Our aim is to help young people develop the practical, emotional, and life skills needed to achieve their goals and fulfil their potential.

The support we provide is both practical and therapeutic in nature, recognising the individual needs and experiences of each young person. We work in a trauma-informed way and are committed to promoting and upholding the rights of young people. We actively embrace the principles of The Promise and ensure these values are reflected in all aspects of our practice, interactions, and support.

Our service offers a combination of residential, community-based, and drop-in support from our Glasgow base, providing flexible and accessible assistance tailored to individual needs.

We are seeking motivated, compassionate, and nurturing individuals to join our team. Successful candidates will support young people to identify, work towards, and achieve their personal goals while building confidence, resilience, and independence.

• Have a genuine commitment to improving outcomes for care-experienced young people.
• Can provide creative, person-centred support.
• Have a strong understanding of the impact of disrupted childhood development and attachment difficulties.
• Have experience of, or a commitment to, trauma-informed practice.
• Can build positive, trusting relationships with young people.
• Share our values and commitment to The Promise and children's rights.

The salary range advertised is in line with our pay principles, for consistency and fairness while recognising the skills and experience applicants bring to the role.
