Join Salal Sexual Violence Support Centre as a dedicated Sexual Assault Counsellor II, focused on providing crucial assistance to marginalized survivors of violence. This full-time role includes both in-office and remote work opportunities to enhance client accessibility.

As a Sexual Assault Counsellor II, you'll deliver counselling and operate within a feminist lens to advocate for women, Two-Spirit, trans, non-binary, and gender diverse individuals who have faced sexualized violence.

Your role involves educational outreach, workshops, and active participation in community events, fostering a culture of safety and connection. You'll contribute to the maintenance of high-quality service delivery through collaboration with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct counselling and emotional support

• Conduct workshops on feminist strategies for volunteers

• Maintain confidential records of counselling sessions

• Collaborate with coordinators on service guidelines

• Engage with community and interagency meetings

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline

• 2-3 years experience in counselling practice

• Proven track record of supporting diverse communities

• Required criminal record check

• Commitment to anti-colonial and feminist frameworks
