Child Development Specialist

Our client is seeking a knowledgeable and empathetic Child Development Specialist to join their team in Randburg . This role is dedicated to understanding and promoting the optimal growth and development of children from infancy through adolescence. You will work with families and educational institutions to identify developmental needs, provide guidance, and implement support strategies. This hybrid role combines essential on-site interaction with children and families with the flexibility of remote work for planning, research, and reporting, making it a dynamic opportunity within the Gauteng region.

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of children's physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development.
• Develop personalized intervention plans and strategies to address developmental delays or challenges.
• Provide counseling and support to children and their families, offering guidance on parenting and developmental milestones.
• Collaborate with educators, healthcare professionals, and other specialists to ensure integrated care.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, interventions, and progress reports.

• Master's degree or equivalent in Child Development, Psychology, or a related field.
• Proven experience in assessing and supporting child development in diverse settings.
• Strong understanding of developmental theories and diagnostic tools.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills.
