Family Support Specialist

Our client is looking for a compassionate and skilled Family Support Specialist to join their team in Mossel Bay . This role focuses on empowering families by providing essential support, resources, and guidance to navigate challenges and strengthen family bonds. You will work directly with families in their homes and through remote sessions, fostering a safe and supportive environment. • Conduct in-home and remote assessments of family needs and strengths.
• Provide counseling and support services to families facing various challenges.

• Maintain confidential case notes and track client progress.

• A relevant degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
• Experience in family support, counseling, or child welfare services.
• Strong understanding of child development and family dynamics.
• Excellent communication, empathy, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively both in the field and remotely.
• Familiarity with the Mossel Bay community and its resources is an advantage.
