You'll help women access safe accommodation, reduce risk, improve wellbeing and engage with the support they need to achieve positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities Provide intensive one-to-one support and advocacy to women with complex needs. Support women to access, secure and sustain safe housing. Deliver outreach across Norwich, including early morning outreach and rough sleeper engagement. Use trauma-informed, gender-informed and person-centred approaches to support women experiencing homelessness, exploitation, abuse and sexual violence. Provide harm reduction support and facilitate access to health and wellbeing services.
Act as a safeguarding point of contact and respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns. Support and guide frontline practitioners through case management and professional advice. Allocate referrals, monitor risk and support safe practice. Build strong relationships with partner agencies and attend multi-agency meetings. Contribute to service development, monitoring and reporting. About You We are looking for someone with:
Experience supporting women affected by trauma, abuse, exploitation, sexual violence and/or homelessness. Knowledge of trauma-informed practice and safeguarding procedures. Experience managing complex or high-risk cases. Strong assessment, advocacy and partnership-working skills. Experience providing guidance or support to colleagues. Excellent communication, organisation and IT skills. A compassionate, resilient and non-judgemental approach. What's on Offer? This post is exempt under Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010 and is open to female applicants only. Flexibility to undertake occasional early morning outreach (including 6am starts on a rota basis) and occasional evening work is required. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable; a work vehicle is available for business travel.
