Part-time Independent Living; ILS Support Staff

Strategies to Empower People (STEP) is hiring a part-time Independent Living Skills (ILS) & Employment Services
Staff to provide in-person support for disabled adults receiving ILS and employment services in the greater Sacramento, Yuba, Sutter and Placer county areas.

Independent Living Skills (ILS) & Employment Services Staff provide instruction and support for our clients who are working on developing daily living skills and job skills. We are looking for patient and creative people who can help our clients find new ways to grow their independence, find employment, or maintain their current employment! This includes support with activities like:

• Assisting with accessing programs such as Cal-Fresh, SSI, Housing, etc.
• Budgeting support and guidance
• On-site job skill training and support
• Social engagement and development
• Personal growth and health management
• And much more!

• Must be 18+ with a high school diploma, GED, or Certificate of Completion
• Must have at least one (1) year or related professional experience with independent living, employment skills training, education, or other similar professions
• Must be able to drive which means providing a current CA Driver License, current auto insurance, and have a clear Motor Vehicle Record

The pay rate for this position ranges from $24-$26 depending on verifiable, related experience.

This is a part-time (under 30 hours per week) position that operates primarily in the field (THIS IS NOT A WORK-FROM-HOME POSITION). It has a flexible schedule that adapts to the needs of its caseload but tends to operate between the hours of 8a-6p.

Our Independent Living Services (ILS) & Employment Services Staff provide support in the Sacramento, Yuba, Sutter and Placer county areas. This position will provide support as needed across multiple counties.
