Job Description

As a Victim Liaison Officer, you will provide vital support to victims of serious crimes and their families, guiding them through the complexities of the offender’s sentence or hospital order. Your work will involve regular contact with individuals who have experienced violent, sexual, or stalking offences, ensuring their voices are heard and their concerns are integrated into risk management decisions.

  • Proven experience engaging with diverse communities, promoting equality, and valuing diversity.
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of risk assessment and management concerning offenders and victim safeguarding.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the Criminal Justice system and its related agencies.
  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above, including English.
  • Ability to travel regularly across rural and urban areas to maintain contact with victims and professionals.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK, with visa sponsorship available for foreign applicants who require a Skilled Worker visa.
Benefits
  • Competitive annual salary ranging from £37,238 to £44,520.
  • Opportunity for Skilled Worker (Tier

  • Meaningful full-time employment within the Ministry of Justice, contributing directly to public safety and victim support.
  • Ongoing learning and development opportunities to enhance professional knowledge and skills.
  • Comprehensive Civil Service benefits package, including a generous pension scheme and a focus on equality and inclusion.
