About the role:

We have a full time Senior Social Worker position available in our Adult Social Care Learning Disability and Transition Team.

This is an agile working role and we work closely with our health colleagues from the Arthur Webster Clinic on the IOW. This brings all the advantages of shared knowledge and joined up working to get the best outcomes for our client group.

  • You will be responsible for quality checking and auditing work completed by those you line manage and supervise. You will be allocating and approving work, providing supervision and practice guidance to your staff using your knowledge of legislation and understanding of safeguarding.
  • You will monitor performance, quality control through audits, and authorise assessments and care documentation that your team will produce.
  • Supervision is cascaded throughout the team with the Senior Social Worker supervising several of the qualified Social Workers, and Social Work Assistants.

About you:

As a Senior Social Worker, we understand the work you do on a daily basis and provide the support you need to make a difference to the people of the Isle of Wight.

To join us, you must:
