Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor; VRC)

Single Handed Consulting helps injured workers across Washington get back to work. We're hiring an experienced Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor to join our team.

The role

You’ll provide vocational rehabilitation services to injured workers and individuals with disabilities, and case and disability management services to employers, insurers, and individual clients. The work is remote with regular travel to meet clients and visit job sites. Candidates must live in Washington State.

What you’ll do

• Develop rehabilitation plans that fit each client’s aptitudes, education, physical abilities, and goals
• Conduct intake interviews and meet clients in person
• Visit and contact work sites to complete job analyses
• Coordinate with physicians, psychologists, occupational therapists, and other providers
• Arrange evaluations and analyze records to assess client needs and eligibility
• Monitor progress through training and placement and resolve problems along the way
• Maintain complete case files and documentation
• Build relationships with community referral sources

Requirements

• Two years of paid experience as a VRC serving Washington’s industrially injured workers
• CRC or CDMS designation with relevant industrial insurance experience
• Working knowledge of Washington State vocational rehabilitation law, rules, and policy
• Comfort working with frustrated or difficult clients
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe, and comfort working paperless
• Billable hour experience is a plus
• Reliable vehicle and valid insurance

Pay and benefits

$50,000 to $100,000 per year depending on experience. Healthcare, matching 401(k), eight paid holidays, and PTO.
