Campus Activist (Full-Time or Part-Time)

Thousands of lives are on the line every day due to abortion. Are you ready to stand up and change hearts to stop it? We are defenders on a mission to recruit, equip, and deploy students around Michigan to become passionate and professional social reformers. We won’t stop until abortion is unthinkable. Since 2005, we have grown from a group of volunteers to a team of dozens of powerhouse activists.

Each team member is bright, strategic, and dedicated to protecting the unborn.

What you'll do

A Protect Life Michigan (PLM) Campus Activist (CA) carries out the mission of PLM by working directly with campus groups and pro-life students. The Campus Activist's purpose is to develop pro-life students into leaders in the pro-life movement and to change pro-choice minds on abortion by leading outreach efforts on college campuses. The Campus Activist will work with their fellow Campus Activists and their student-run boards at their assigned college, and execute any strategic adjustments made by managers and select team members.

Campus Activists report to a Campus Activist Supervisor or a Campus Activist Lead.

This position can be filled by a part-time or full-time candidate. If the CA is currently attending college, they typically work 11-15 hours per week.

This role is primarily in-person at the assigned college, with some work-from-home days, and requires the candidate to support raise their salary and ministry expenses; please read more details in the Salary & Benefits section below.

For your first semester on campus, you may be paired with an experienced Campus Activist to receive on-the-job training. Please note that your training location may be further away from the campus with which you are working.

Examples of this include:
