Senior Software Engineer, Front End - Creative Content Tech Firm

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative front-end engineer to take ownership of building modern, scalable, and elegant user interfaces for advanced video editing platforms. In this role, you will shape the architecture of web applications that push the boundaries of performance and usability, while collaborating with a small, fast-moving engineering team driving innovation in professional media technology.

• Architect and implement next-generation front-end solutions for complex single-page applications.
• Lead technical discussions around UI/UX design, defining standards and best practices for front-end development.
• Build and maintain reusable component libraries that ensure design consistency and developer efficiency.
• Continuously optimize application speed, scalability, and accessibility to deliver exceptional user experiences.
• Mentor and support junior developers, guiding them in modern frameworks, testing, and code quality practices.
• Collaborate closely with designers on user-facing features and with back-end teams on API contracts and integrations.
• Define and oversee front-end testing strategies to ensure reliability and maintainability at scale.

• 5+ years of professional front-end software engineering experience.
• Expert-level proficiency with Type Script and modern JavaScript.
• Advanced hands-on experience with React and frameworks such as Next.js.
• Deep understanding of state management solutions (e.g., Redux) and scalable architecture patterns.
• Strong grasp of CSS, responsive design principles, and accessibility best practices.
• Proficiency with front-end testing frameworks and methodologies to ensure high-quality releases.
• Experience with performance optimization and security practices for large-scale web applications.
• Knowledge of internationalization and localization practices.
• Familiarity with front-end build systems, compilers, and module bundlers (e.g., Vite, Webpack, tsc).

• Exposure to back-end development (Python experience is a plus).
• Knowledge of Rust or frameworks such as Tauri for desktop application development.
• Experience developing and deploying applications on macOS and Windows environments.
• Contributions to open-source projects in the front-end ecosystem.
• Background working with Web Socket or real-time UI updates.

This is a U.S.

-based remote position. While the team operates in a distributed model, members may gather a few times each year for collaborative workshops and strategic planning sessions.
