Role: GIS Developer

Location:
Lafayette, Louisiana - On location at the Client’s site 100% of the time. No telecommuting or remote work.

IV Type: phone/skype – LOOKING NATIONWIDE

Salary: $57,750 to $90,000

Must: ESRI GIS application development experience (3+ years)

Description: Our client, an engineering company, is seeking a GIS Developer in Lafayette, Louisiana.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Design, develop, document, and test ESRI-based GIS desktop applications supporting business requirements;
• Lead requirements gathering and design efforts with minimal supervision;
• Interface with in-house custom-built software applications and file formats;
• Participate in ongoing software development process improvements;
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to understand requirements and provide software development input;
• Work as both a team leader and independently on complex tasks to meet project timelines and budgets;
• Conduct training sessions and create teaching materials to propagate GIS knowledge within the organization;
• Guide, coach, and mentor junior team members;
• Perform other duties as assigned.
