Apex Fintech Solutions seeks a Senior Manager, Software Engineering. This role will lead engineering teams, collaborate with cross‑functional managers, and drive Agile development initiatives, ensuring solutions exceed stakeholder expectations. You will handle strategic planning, risk management, hands‑on design, architecture, and execution of software initiatives, empowering engineers to impact delivery outcomes and company growth.
Duties / Responsibilities- Lead a team of developers building high‑quality, scalable, and resilient distributed systems.
- Foster an environment of rapid learning and adaptation to new technologies, tools, and frameworks.
- Oversee design, implementation, and management of databases, particularly Postgre
SQL and Big Query. - Maintain high standards in version control using Git and enforce robust test automation practices.
- Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure best‑in‑class financial services integrations and deployments.
- Drive the development and maintenance of RESTful services, microservices, and service‑oriented architectures.
- Facilitate continuous integration and delivery pipelines for seamless deployment and scalability.
- Mentor and manage engineering teams, encouraging continuous improvement and professional growth.
- Travel occasionally to meet with engineering teams, stakeholders, and stay aligned with industry advancements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent work experience) required.
- 8+ years of software development experience.
- 5+ years leading engineering teams.
- Experience in financial services or a heavily regulated industry is preferred.
- Proven experience in Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
- Proficient in version control systems, preferably Git.
- Advanced knowledge of software testing and automation tools.
- Strong understanding of databases, especially Postgre
SQL and Big Query. - Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and lead teams in adopting them.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and strategic thinking about technology‑driven solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in GCP backend systems and micro‑service architecture to ensure scalability and reliability.
- Solid understanding of Dev Ops principles with hands‑on experience in CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
- Understanding of security best practices for APIs, backend systems, and infrastructure.
- Familiarity with financial systems, trading and accounting concepts, and compliance within regulated environments.
- This role operates in a hybrid office environment, 3 days per week.
