York Solutions is hiring a Front End Engineer. We’re looking for a talented and motivated Web Frontend Engineer with a strong foundation in Type Script and React to help design, build, and scale engaging user-facing applications. You will be a key contributor on a cross-functional product team, collaborating closely with UX designers, product managers, and service teams to deliver impactful user experiences.

This team supports the merchandising business of Tech which supports the assortment planning functions.

Location:

2 days per week onsite - Brooklyn Park, MN or Remote

• Design, develop, test, and deploy modern web applications using React and Type Script
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code with an emphasis on performance and accessibility
• Collaborate with UX Designers to create responsive, user-friendly interfaces
• Partner with Product Managers to understand and influence feature requirements and business goals
• Work closely with backend and service teams to integrate APIs and deliver full-stack solutions
• Own code quality through unit testing, UI testing, and participation in peer code reviews
• Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to the planning and estimation process
• Contribute to the continual improvement of engineering processes and standards

• 3+ years of experience in frontend development
• 5+ years of experience in software development
• Proficient in Type Script and React
• Experience working with at least two programming languages and two JavaScript frameworks/libraries (e.g., Vue.js, Angular, Svelte)
• Solid experience with CSS including pre/post-processors, layout systems, and responsive design
• Strong understanding of version control systems such as Git
• Experience with unit testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Mocha) and UI testing tools (e.g., Cypress, Playwright)
• Proven experience working in product-driven teams in close collaboration with UX designers and product managers
• Experience working across multiple partner service teams in a collaborative environment
• Experience implementing and managing observability tools (e.g., Open Telemetry, Grafana)
• Understanding of backend integration patterns and RESTful services

• Exposure to or experience with AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., Git Hub Copilot, ChatGPT)
• Familiarity with Java or Kotlin
• Familiarity with design systems (e.g., Figma, Material UI, Storybook, internal UI kits)
• Contributions to open source or personal projects showcasing frontend skills
