About the role:

Samsara is looking for a Staff Mobile Engineer to join our Mobile Platform team
. This team builds the foundational frameworks and architectures that enable over 20 engineering teams to efficiently develop our Driver and Fleet applications, which serve millions of daily users. You will be instrumental in building the scalable mobile platform infrastructure that supports our high-availability applications, directly influencing the development velocity and technical capabilities of our entire mobile engineering organization.

• Design and build scalable mobile platform infrastructure supporting high-availability applications.
• Create foundational frameworks that enable efficient development across 20-25 engineering teams.
• Architect solutions for large-scale consumer mobile applications serving various industries.
• Lead technical initiatives to reduce complexity and improve developer productivity.

Minimum requirements for the role:

• Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of mobile development related experience.
• Extensive experience with large-scale consumer mobile applications.
• Proven track record building platform-level mobile infrastructure and frameworks serving millions of customers daily.
• Strong expertise in mobile performance optimization and scalability.
• Experience supporting multiple engineering teams through platform solutions.
• Deep understanding of mobile architecture patterns and best practices.
