React Native Developer

We are pursuing a vision of bringing global transport into a single distribution system and creating end to end magical consumer journeys. While the whole world of air, hotels or car rental is normalised, rail, bus, ferries, airport transfer, all forms of ground transport are fragmented on a local level.

Along with two brands, 1st used for global discovery, and 2nd used for ticketing and journeys, they attract 600m+ users on a yearly basis while continuing to launch new geographies, new verticals and new products as they scale.

We are searching for you, a React Native Engineer with a strong iOS Native background to join our awesome Berlin team and play a key role in delivering technology solutions to improve the user experience and engagement throughout our post-booking experience.

• Perform technical design and implementation of complex mobile apps features in React Native and iOS with Swift and/ or Objective-C background.
• Writing different levels of tests for robustness and general reliability.
• Participate in creating and executing an efficient backlog of product and technical features based on data analysis.
• Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.
• Promote and provide coaching for mobile development best practices throughout the company
• Promote a strong sense of product ownership and proactivity to contribute to other team’s code bases regardless of organisational boundaries.
• Communicate effectively within one's own team and across teams.
• Identify project risks and provide mitigation solutions when needed.

• 5+ years of software development
• Experience with modern front-end build pipelines and tools (we use webpack)
• Proven record of strong experience in generating commercial quality Native Mobile applications.
• Solid knowledge of mobile apps modularisation architecture patterns.
• Familiar and advocate of testing at all levels.
• Solid grasp of iOS networking and REST Web Services (Graph
  
  QL experience a plus).
• Strong hands-on knowledge with popular architecture patterns (e.g. MVVM, VIPER).
• Excellent spoken and written English, other languages are a plus.
