Required Skills: 2+ years of software development experience with any object-oriented programming language like Java, Ruby, C#.

Proficiency with Git and Linux/Unix Commands.

Knowledge of Secure Code practices, conducting code reviews, and auditing application source code for security vulnerabilities.

Ability to identify True Positives and False Positives, and guide development teams to resolve vulnerabilities.

Daily interaction with the development community on security issues.

Understanding of source code vulnerabilities such as Cross-Site Scripting, SQL Injection, Heap Inspection, DOM Injection, SSRF, XSRF, etc.

Research skills on third-party library vulnerabilities using sources like NIST, OWASP, and providing upgrade guidance.

Understanding of Jenkins Pipeline and relational databases, with experience in writing SQL queries.

Required

Education:

Bachelor's Degree or higher.

Tools: Checkmarx, Blackduck, Nexus IQ, Eclipse, SQL Server Management Studio.

Desired but not required: Experience with application lifecycle, high-performance design, caching, security, encryption, scalability, code reviews, and testing.

Experience with web application testing, designing scalable distributed applications, and software development in the government sector is a plus.

Knowledge of Jenkins, Cloud, Maven, SharePoint, and code scanning tools (manual, automated, static, dynamic) is desirable.

Exposure to major programming languages such as JAVA EE, .NET, COBOL, Cold Fusion, etc.
