• Develop web services using Python, Postgre
  
  SQL, Java, and Drools Rule Language
• Build new platform capabilities that scale with the business
• Collaborate with Enrollment Product Managers, Underwriters, and external partners to enhance the digital life insurance enrollment experience
• Write maintainable software, including automated tests, and ensure features are observable and monitored
• Share responsibility for operating workloads on Kubernetes in Google Cloud Platform

• 8+ years of professional software development experience (backend)
• Professional experience with Python or Java
• Comfort with Docker for local software development
• Experience working with distributed systems or microservices
• Familiarity with Postgre
  
  SQL or other relational databases and writing ANSI SQL

• Experience designing APIs (Protocol Buffers, Swagger, OpenAPI, etc.)
• Experience building, deploying, operating, and troubleshooting software
• Knowledge of cloud computing and Kubernetes or similar container orchestration
