Engineer II - Sensor; Remote

Crowd Strike Falcon Host is a two‑component security product. One component is a lightweight agent installed on client machines that observes system activity and recognizes malicious behavior, then provides on‑box prevention capability and remote telemetry to the Falcon Host cloud. The cloud component aggregates sensor telemetry for each customer’s network, can correlate malicious behavior across multiple machines, and presents our customers’ operations teams with a prioritized summary of the threats detected in their environments.

• Lead engineering efforts and work along with Product Management where applicable, helping define the scope of work.
• Demonstrate ownership, accountability, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams across Product Groups that are geographically distributed.
• Design and develop user‑mode software for deployment on Windows systems.
• Own features from design to delivery.
• Collaborate with a multi‑functional team in various physical locations.
• Troubleshoot issues with the product as reported from customers responsively.
• Develop software for products as assigned (Falcon Discover, and more).

• Can develop high‑quality code in C++ for Windows OS and can demonstrate that capability, be it through job experience or contributions to community projects.
• 2‑5 years experience working on a team to ship major features and releases.
• Able to communicate, collaborate, and work effectively in a distributed team.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals.
• Mac and Linux OS development experience is a plus.
• Experience building cybersecurity‑related products is a plus.
• Experience developing product code with high concurrency requirements needing strong use of multi‑threading and high reliability requirements.
• B.S. Degree in a related field.

The base salary range for this position for all U.S. candidates is $100,000 – $145,000 per year, with eligibility for bonuses, equity grants and a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, 401(k) and paid time off.
