Now we are looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer (Java & Angular) for Roche
.

You’ll work with Roche Sequencing Solutions San Jose, a fast-paced, interdisciplinary team building regulated end-to-end solutions for laboratory accessioning, processing, and reporting. This includes supporting NIPT and Oncology test offerings. Building these solutions requires expertise in Software Engineering, Bioinformatics, Client Services, Medical Affairs, Laboratory Operations, Systems Engineering, Quality, and Regulatory fields. This project aims to develop a lab workflow management software, consisting of a web-based client and Java-based backend services.

The software will manage the journey of samples as they are processed through the system, including sample data entry, status tracking and reporting results. Additionally, it will integrate several existing on-market instruments (Roche developed) through application interfaces. Also, it will communicate with the data analysis pipeline developed by the Bioinformatics team.

• 5+ years of experience in developing software applications involving graphical user interfaces and complex business rules.
• Experience with back-end frameworks like Spring and Spring Boot.
• Hands-on experience with relational databases and SQL.
• Experience working with Angular for building user interfaces.
• Familiarity with front-end development practices (e.g., responsive design, state management, RESTful API integration).
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and multitasking skills.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (preferred) in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Prior experience in lab workflow management is a plus.
• Knowledge of testing tools and frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG, and Mockito.
• Expertise in microservices architecture, messaging systems, and multi-threading.
• Proficiency in Java development, with strong object-oriented programming skills.

• Design, develop, modify, unit test, and debug full-stack software applications (both front-end and back-end).
• Write secure, reliable, maintainable, and performant code.
• Participate in design and code reviews to ensure alignment with architecture and coding standards.
• Contribute to technical documentation and design specifications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Develop and maintain user interfaces using Angular and ensure seamless integration with back-end services.
• Implement and optimize microservices and ensure efficient communication between services.
• Work with relational databases to design and optimize data storage and retrieval.
• Write and maintain unit tests and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
