AboutThe Role
Crowd Strike Falcon Host is a two‑component security product. The sensor is a lightweight agent installed on client machines that observes system activity, recognizes malicious behavior, and provides on‑box prevention and remote telemetry to the Falcon Host cloud. The cloud component aggregates telemetry, correlates malicious behavior across multiple machines, and presents customers’ operations teams with a prioritized summary of detected threats.
This position is a Software Development Engineer (SDE) focused on delivering the sensor for Windows, Linux, and macOS. Features may cross core OS subsystems such as file system, memory, process, and networking, and are often shared across all platforms. The team operates under Agile principles and ships frequently.
- Lead engineering efforts and collaborate with Product Management to define scope of work.
- Take ownership, accountability, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams across geographically distributed Product Groups.
- Design and develop user‑mode software for deployment on Windows systems.
- Own features from design to delivery.
- Collaborate with multi‑functional teams in various physical locations.
- Troubleshoot customer‑reported issues responsively.
- Develop software for assigned products (e.g., Falcon Discover).
- High‑quality C++ coding for Windows OS, demonstrated through job experience or community contributions.
- Experience working on a team to ship major features and releases.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and effectiveness in a distributed team environment.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals.
- Experience developing for macOS and Linux is a plus.
- Experience building cybersecurity‑related products is a plus.
- Experience developing product code that requires high concurrency, strong multi‑threading, and high reliability.
- B.S. degree in a related field.

Crowd Strike, Inc. is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Placement within the pay range is dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications, job level, supervisory status, and location. The base salary range for this position for all U.S. candidates is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, with eligibility for bonuses, equity grants and a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, 401(k) and paid time off.
