We are seeking an Intermediate Fullstack Engineer to join our growing Plan:

Knowledge team. The Plan:

Knowledge team is focused on Git Lab's suite of tools for knowledge management practices and collaboration. We work very closely with stable counterparts including backend team, product management, product design, security, UX research and technical writing.

As an Intermediate Fullstack Engineer on the Plan:

Knowledge team, you  play a key role in developing foundation and high impact tools that are used throughout the Git Lab product, such as Markdown, Rich Text Editor, GLQL Views, and Gitlab Wiki. You  work closely with experienced engineers who will support your growth while impacting how organizations collaborate and help shape knowledge management best practices.

• Implement tools that compete with other knowledge management system platforms
• Improve the access and flow of information within Git Lab.
• Empower all users, technical and non-technical, to contribute.
• Foster a collaborative environment for Git Lab contributions.
• Facilitate effective knowledge management practices that are easily accessible.

• Develop features and improvements to the Git Lab product in a secure, well-tested, and performant way using Vue.js, RoR, RESTful and/or Graph
  
  QL APIs
• Collaborate with Product Management and other stakeholders (Backend, UX, etc.) to iterate on new features within the Git Lab product
• Craft code that meets our internal standards for style, maintainability, and best practices for a high-scale web environment. Maintain and advocate for these standards through code review
• Build responsive and accessible components that deliver an excellent user experience across devices and user needs
• Consistently ship features and improvements with minimal guidance and support from other team members. Collaborate with the team on larger projects
• Work closely with UX designers to implement intuitive and effective user interfaces
• Learn, collaborate and teach other Frontend Engineers. Everyone can contribute something new to the team regardless of how long they  been in the industry
• Participate actively in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to enhance code quality
• Help improve our test coverage and system reliability through thoughtful testing practices
• Contribute to troubleshooting and resolving technical issues as they arise
• Support technical documentation and internal knowledge sharing initiatives

• Professional experience with Type Script, Vue, Vuex and Vue Apollo
• Professional experience with building fullstack web apps using RESTful and/or Graph

• Professional experience with Ruby on Rails, Active Record, Redis, HAML, and related backend technologies
