- Bachelor's degree plus 2 years of related experience or equivalent work experience
- Proficiency in PHP and JavaScript, or a willingness to learn both
- Understanding of HTTP and web application architecture
- Familiarity with observability and testing practices
- Experience contributing to open-source software
- Familiarity with Media Wiki
- Experience working in a remote, distributed team
- Interest in API‑first development or improving developer experience
- Professional experience in large‑scale web platforms
