QA Engineer

We are looking for a QA Engineer to keep our frontend, backend, and AI models reliable and catch bugs early. You will set clear quality standards, build automated tests, and help us ship stable releases to a global audience.

• Cathoven is an AI tutor for langauge tests. It scores the writing and speaking, finds weak points, and trains to improve the score the fastest.
• We are used by language teachers at Columbia, Berkeley, and Cambridge.

• As a QA Engineer at Cathoven, you’ll take part in shaping a high-quality AI-driven learning experience.
• You’ll work closely with developers, product designers, and AI researchers to ensure that every release meets the highest quality standards.
• Your work will directly impact how thousands of students interact with and benefit from our technology.

• Build test automation using Cypress for Next.js frontend
• Develop Python-based tests for Django backend and AI models
• Integrate AI tools and methodologies into testing processes
• Conduct realistic user-exploration testing to uncover edge cases and issues

• Minimum 4 years of experience with Cypress and Python test automation
• Familiarity with Next.js and Django frameworks
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (e.g., Product, AI, and Development)
• Interest in applying AI to enhance testing
• Creative approach to testing; enjoy breaking things and thinking like real users
