We're looking for a technically strong Software Development Manager to help us transform legal research - and litigation workflows more broadly - with GenAI.

In this role, you'll guide, empower a team of talented engineers, oversee the end-to-end creation of robust UI and backend services, and influence strategic decisions that drive our Westlaw product delivery forward.

• Lead & Inspire
  :
  Manage a high-performing team of engineers, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and growth.

  Engaged in design and own implementation of UI and/or backend solutions using modern frameworks and technologies, stepping in to code when necessary.

  Own the team roadmap and project lifecycle, ensuring that initiatives move from ideation to successful production launches.

You're a fit for the role of Software Development Manager, AI if your background includes:

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Equivalent Experience.
• Software Engineering
  
  Experience:
  
  Over 5 years of hands‑on experience in software engineering with a demonstrated history of leading the development of scalable, web‑based solutions. Proficient in designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
• Back‑end Proficiency: Strong familiarity or experience with popular Python frameworks, including Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Front‑end Proficiency: Skilled in using modern UI frameworks such as React, Angular, or similar, along with Type Script and Node.js.
• Data Engineering and MLOps Background: Solid foundation in data engineering or machine learning operations (MLOps).
• Cloud Technology
  
  Experience:
  
  More than 3 years of experience working with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or GCP, with a preference for AWS.
• Dev Ops Practices: Well‑versed in Dev Ops methodologies, including CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code.
• AI Framework Knowledge: Familiar with AI frameworks such as Tensor Flow, PyTorch, or Hugging Face, as well as GenAI concepts like prompt engineering, retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG), and fine‑tuning.
• Agile Development
  
  Experience:
  
  Experienced in agile development methodologies.
• AI Tools: Experience in using AI‑powered tools in SDLC is required.

• Managerial
  
  Experience:
  
  3+ years of managing engineering teams, with success in coaching, mentoring, and nurturing talent.
