Android Tech Lead

We’re looking for an Android Tech Lead (Architect) to join our Mobile department and take full ownership of the architecture and technical direction of our main mobile product — Ventor Pro.

This role is about defining engineering standards, leading the refactoring of an existing legacy codebase. You’ll play a key role in shaping the mobile product roadmap, ensuring technical excellence, and stabilizing and scaling the application for long‑term growth.

• Design the application architecture from the ground up.
• Lead the refactoring of the existing codebase, update dependencies, and introduce Clean Architecture principles.
• Develop high‑quality technical solutions aligned with business requirements.
• Contribute directly to the codebase and maintain hands‑on involvement in core components.

• Build and refine development processes to stabilize the codebase and support scalable growth.
• Collaborate closely with PM/PO on roadmap and requirements, ensuring alignment between technical and product goals.

• Participate in estimation, decomposition, and prioritization of features.
• Ensure high‑quality releases through automation, testing, and structured workflows.
• Manage interactions with distribution platforms (Google Play, App Store, Firebase) and handle required technical adjustments.

• Expert knowledge of Android development (Kotlin + Java).
• 3+ years of team leadership: mentoring, reviewing, developing engineers.
• Deep understanding of Clean Architecture, SOLID principles, and modern presentation‑layer patterns.
• Strong experience with modular architecture (multi‑module projects).
• Proficiency with Coroutines, Dagger/Hilt, Jetpack components (Work Manager, Navigation, View Model).
• Experience with multithreading, performance optimization, and large‑scale code refactoring.
• Competence in automation (unit testing, UI testing).
• Experience building or redesigning an Android application from the ground up.
• Fluency in Russian and English.

• Experience with ERP systems (Warehouse management) or enterprise applications.
• Experience passing security audits or stabilizing legacy codebases.
• Familiarity with analytics tools and mobile performance monitoring.

Here you won’t just maintain an app — you’ll rebuild and evolve its architecture, influence the product direction, and define how mobile engineering works at Ventor Tech.

You’ll serve as the main technical partner for the PM, shaping the roadmap, setting engineering standards, and developing the mobile team.
