Mobile Engineer II - Android; remote

Overview

This is a remote role that may only be hired in the following location(s): AZ, FL GA, NC and TX. We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer (Mobile) with expertise in developing cross-platform mobile applications for Android using Apache Cordova
. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Java, Kotlin and exposure to front-end frameworks such as React
. You will play a crucial role in building, optimizing, and maintaining hybrid mobile applications while ensuring seamless performance across multiple devices and operating systems.

Award winning simple, secure and intuitive platform to keep track of money on the move with robust payment and tracking capabilities, manage credit and debit cards, check deposits, plus customizable alerts while accessing prompts to guide users with their banking tasks.

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain hybrid mobile applications for Android
  .
• Optimize app performance and responsiveness.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve platform-specific compatibility issues and bugs
  .
• Deploy applications to the Google Play Store
  , ensuring compliance with their guidelines.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers, backend developers, and QA teams to deliver high-quality mobile applications.
• Maintain proper documentation for development processes, app architecture, and technical specifications.
• Stay up to date with the latest mobile development trends, and best practices
  .

Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of experience in Application software programming OR High School Diploma or GED and 6 years of experience in Application software programming

• Proven hands-on experience in Android (Kotlin/Java)
• Hybrid mobile app development using Apache Cordova
• Should have experience integrating third party SDK's and developing custom plugins
• Experience in mobile security best practices
  .
• Working knowledge in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, React, and Type Script .
• Experience integrating Cordova plugins for native features such as Camera, GPS, File System, and Notifications.
• Experience with mobile debugging tools
  , performance optimization, and cross-platform compatibility
• Strong knowledge of Play Store deployment processes
• Understanding of Firebase Notification Services
• Experience with Git version control, Agile methodologies (JIRA etc.), and CI/CD pipelines
  .
• Strong communication skills, problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

• Experience with authentication, multi-factor authentication is a plus
• Experience with Ionic Framework
  .
• A good understanding of micro-front-end architecture
• Knowledge of Progressive Web Apps (PWAs)
• Familiarity with cloud services like AWS, Azure, or Firebase
• Experience with React Native or Flutter is a plus
