Responsibilities

• Engage with Arm's partners through web portal and virtual meetings to tackle sophisticated performance debugging and optimization problems revolving around Arm IP and Arm-based systems.
• Help debug hardware performance issues during the SoC bring-up stage.
• Support Arm's performance debug tools to help partners understand how hardware features impact workloads, and tune hardware and software for highest performance.
• Develop and present training courses on Arm's SoC, performance tooling, and processes to partner development teams.
• Collaborate closely with other product engineering groups, acting as a voice of the customer to motivate change, improve existing products through defect raising, documentation review, crafting software examples, and knowledge articles.

Required Skills And Experience

• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering (or other relevant experience).
• Minimum 6 years of experience in workload performance debugging and optimization.
• Experience performing performance analysis for industry standard benchmarks and workloads on real and simulated platforms.
• Experience with software performance analysis and debug tools, including perf().
• Understanding of processor macro and microarchitecture.
• Comprehension of software and hardware interactions.
• Plentiful experience crafting and debugging software in C and C++.

Nice To Have Skills And Experience

• Strong foundational knowledge of SoC architectures, particularly CPU clusters, interconnects, and memory subsystems.
• Experience using software debuggers, compilers, modeling solutions, and simulation.
• Familiarity with Arm products and Arm's software ecosystem.
• Experience working directly with external and internal customers.
• Ability to learn new hardware system features quickly.
• Ability to take on explorative work individually.

Salary Range

$191,100 - $258,500 per year. Salary is only one component of Arm's offering; the total reward package will be shared during the recruitment and selection process.
