Job DescriptionWe are looking for a motivated Frontend Developer passionate about building intuitive applications that meet our users’ needs. Your work will focus on data lake/warehouse applications, continuous improvement, maintainable code, and collaboration with designers, backend engineers, and data scientists.
EssentialJob Responsibilities
- Assist with the creation, enhancement, and maintenance of web applications.
- JavaScript / CSS / HTML coding and code review.
- Work closely with designers, backend engineers, and data scientists to build holistic user experiences.
- Help define and interact with REST-based APIs.
- Troubleshoot customer reported issues and provide support.
- Write unit tests and conduct quality assurance testing.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Security Clearance:
Ability to obtain a Secret level security clearance; U.S. citizenship required. - At least 5 years of experience with front-end software development and a B.S. degree in Computer Science or related field; or 3 years with a Master’s; or High School Diploma with 9 years of experience.
- 5+ years of experience with JavaScript and one or more web application frameworks (Vue, React, Angular, Backbone, etc.).
- Familiarity with Git or other version control.
- Comfortable working on a UNIX command line.
- Self-motivated, able to multi-task and prioritize tickets.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to compile data appropriately.
- Must be able to work in a hybrid environment, spending an average 1-2 days per week at Columbia, MD office.
- A current Secret or higher level clearance.
- Previous experience with BDP.
- DoD 8140/8570 compliance certifications may be required.
