Skills and Abilities
Required:
- Mastery of IEEE 1491.1 (JTAG standard):
Understanding TAP states, proficiently reading and debugging BSDL, understanding how to generate Boundary Scan patterns. - Proficiency in IEEE 1687 (IJTAG standard):
Ability to read, interpret Instrument Connectivity Language (ICL). Expertise in reading, writing and debugging Procedure Description Language (PDL). Understanding how IJTAG facilitates the integration and reuse of IP blocks with embedded test and debug features. - Understanding of IEEE 1838:
Understanding of PTAP-STAP structure and Flexible Parallel Port (FPP) supports for multi-die design. - DFT Design and Verification fundamentals:
Ability to read and understand RTL code. A solid understanding of general DFT concepts, including scan design, ATPG, memory BIST, and how these interact with JTAG/IJTAG/1838. - Experience with commercial DFT tools for JTAG/IJTAG (1687) implementation and integration, ICL/PDL generation, and validation.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively
- Written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Problem solving and reasoning skills.
Education and Experience Requirement:
- Typically requires five to eight years of experience and a bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent.
