Job Summary

Join Inspira Financial as a Sr. Platform Software Engineer (Remote). In this full‑time role, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications, collaborating closely with product and design teams to deliver high‑quality solutions that support our clients’ health, wealth, and retirement goals.

Remote positions are available in the following states: AL, AZ, FL, GA, IA, IL, IN, MI, MN, MO, NC, NE, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA and WV. Remote status and role locations are subject to change. Relocation is not provided. Employees within a 90‑minute radius of our Oak Brook, IL headquarters are required to meet the in‑office work guidelines of a minimum of four days per month from 10 am to 2 pm (one of the days must be a Monday or Friday).

This requirement does not apply to support specialist positions.

• Design, develop, and test applications (e.g., API, Web apps) in accordance with established standards.
• Work closely with design and product teams to ship delightful, engaging products using React, Type Script, NodeJS, Graph
  
  QL, and related technologies.
• Mentor and coach team members through code reviews, thorough documentation, and technical guidance.
• Contribute to and improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes.
• Foster an environment where diverse backgrounds, cultures, industry, and life experiences are embraced and valued.
• Participate in peer reviews of solution designs and related code.
• Collaborate with other software developers, product managers, and software architects to plan, design, and build software.
• Ensure that non‑functional requirements such as security, performance, maintainability, scalability, usability, and reliability are considered when designing and delivering solutions.
• Work in an Agile framework to identify and automate solutions that enhance developer experience and increase productivity.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in solution architecture and technology innovation.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues and bugs in applications.
• Create design diagrams and technical documentation.
• Other duties as assigned.

• 5+ years of experience in software or solution architecture roles, focusing on designing and implementing complex, enterprise‑level solutions using a cloud platform.
• Strong knowledge of software architecture principles, design patterns, and architectural frameworks.
• Strong understanding of Continuous Delivery patterns, Cloud foundational patterns, Observability patterns, and Developer experience patterns.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.

• Proficiency in JavaScript, React, Type Script, Apollo Graph
  
  QL.
• Experience with Git version control.
• Database knowledge (Postgre
  
  SQL).
• Cloud experience, preferably Google Cloud Platform.
• Testing with Jest.
• Containerization with Docker.
• CI/CD pipeline experience.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Great attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Experience delivering client‑facing web portals, online payments, and third‑party integrations.
• Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodology.
• Expertise in delivering secure, high‑performance, fault‑tolerant, and highly available solutions.

• Infrequent travel (10%).
• Ability to occasionally work overtime or after hours.
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

$140,000 – $160,000 per year

Salary varies based on location, skills, and experience. The compensation package may include incentive and bonus opportunities.
