We are looking for a skilled and driven Backend Engineer to join one of our Engineering teams, focusing on our Third Party Risk Management business. Our product enables some of the world’s most security conscious organizations to manage the cybersecurity risks of their vendor ecosystems, leveraging Bitsight’s unique data, insights, and robust workflows (questionnaires, artifact exchanges, messages, and more).As a Software Engineer, you’re known for thinking on your feet, learning quickly, and owning problems through to resolution.

** Technical Expertise:
*** Familiarity with backend development and web applications. Relevant experience (up to 3 years) in a similar role or strong academic/project background.
* Familiarity with Python, or another modern backend language, and experience with building REST APIs.

* Familiar with the full development lifecycle, from planning and implementation to testing and deployment.
** Bonus experience:
*** Experience with FastAPI, SQL Alchemy, and Postgre

SQL.
* Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS and microservices architectures.
* Hands-on with CI/CD tools (e.g. Git Lab) and containerization (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes).
