Java Developer; Remote

Remote – Poland / overlap with US Eastern Time required

We’re looking for a skilled Java Developer to join an engineering team responsible for developing and maintaining enterprise-grade backend systems for a US-based client. You’ll work on complex business logic, system integrations, and performance-critical services using modern Java and Spring-based technologies.

This is a long-term remote opportunity for someone who thrives in backend-heavy environments and values clean, scalable architecture.

• Develop, test, and maintain backend services using Java (11 or higher) and Spring Boot
• Work with relational databases (e.g., Postgre
  
  SQL, MySQL) and ORM frameworks like Hibernate
• Participate in code reviews and design discussions with distributed teams
• Build and consume RESTful APIs
• Collaborate with frontend developers and Dev Ops to ensure end-to-end quality
• Troubleshoot issues and optimize backend performance

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in Java development
• Strong knowledge of Spring Boot
  , Spring MVC
  , and JPA/Hibernate
• Proficiency in REST API design and integration
• Experience with SQL and relational databases
• Familiarity with CI/CD
  , Git, and modern Dev Ops pipelines

• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Experience with microservices architecture
• Familiarity with Docker or containerized deployment
• Prior work in enterprise domains like healthcare, fintech, or logistics
• Team: Agile, global team working in 2-week sprints
• Timezone: Must overlap minimum 4 hours with US Eastern Time
