You will work with the Engineering Manager, Product Manager and the rest of the engineering team to plan, build, release and maintain high quality software for the Settlement Network business. You will be the primary driver of the system architecture, technical direction and each team member’s technical skill development.

Responsibilities- Plan, build, release and maintain high quality software for the Settlement Network business.
- Drive the system architecture and technical direction for the engineering team.
- Mentor and guide multiple engineers on the team to advance their technical skill development.
- Build secure, resilient infrastructure from the ground up.
- Review code across the entire stack while actively participating in product development.
- Foster an efficient deterministic testing culture, emphasizing minimization of technical debt.
- Solve complex software design problems and implement high‑quality code that is functional, performant, clear, concise, and well tested.
- Break down large projects into smaller tasks and accurately estimate the size of multi‑person projects.
- Ship code that will impact the global economy and balance progress with precision.
- Work across multiple product lines such as Anchorage Digital Trading, Custody and the suite of API integrations.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with all teams and help scale the engineering team.
- Influence architecture and product roadmap decisions and mentor engineers to understand strategic goals.
- 8+ years of professional experience building API‑first backend services (REST, Graph
QL, gRPC). - Experience designing, building and deploying cloud‑native micro‑services.
- Passionate about building automated tests.
- Real‑world experience building complex distributed systems.
- Experience building services from scratch and supporting them over time.
- Strong code quality and infrastructure focus; prioritizes end‑user experience and business value.
- Solid computer science fundamentals (algorithms, data structures, operating systems); formal CS degree not required.
- Attributes: creative, humble, ambitious, detail‑oriented, hard working, trustworthy, eager to learn, methodical, action‑oriented, tenacious.
- Professional experience with C++ or Go.
- Professional experience with Kubernetes.
- Experience with system security (authentication, authorization, identity, API keys).
- Background in the finance industry.
